P004A Severity
Once the vehicle's onboard system no longer detects the issue, most codes will disappear on their own. If your vehicle still has this code, however, it should be properly diagnosed to avoid a more serious problem.

The engine control module (PCM) uses a Boost Control Solenoid to control the turbocharger and provide the requested amount of boost. When the PCM detects an incorrect signal from the Boost Control Solenoid, it will set code P004A.
