trunk pull down wont work

I fixed mine myself. And Im a Girl! Lol it will probably cost you about $100 to do yourself. But it's a pain in the bottom if you aren't familiar with cars. lol And I say this from experience. Lol I have a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado and I had my trunk pull down switch failure/ or.. go out on me. Turns out the motor was burn out. Possibly due the water I found in the wheel well of my trunk. I'm assuming some how the water touched some wiring that made it burn out. The housing had a small little crack too but I don't think it was enough to cause any other issues but apparently it could be. Anyhow. I would love to give you my advice if you don't mind taking it..
