After installing a new ignition lock cylinder the new key will not come out on 08 avalanche

After getting the old cylinder out and installing the new one when I turn the key back to off the key is stuck and can’t be pulled out. It has transponder keys and a non transponder key. The key will actually start the vehicle but is stuck in the ignition lock cylinder.
