I changed the brake switch out but now I don’t know how to get this pin (bottom Left) back into the hole next to the washer while keeping the brake arm on there.

It sounds like you are having trouble reinserting the pin on the bottom left of the brake switch while keeping the brake arm in place on your 1993 Ford Ranger. Reinstalling the pin can be a bit tricky, but with some patience and the right approach, you should be able to get it back in place. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you: 1. **Remove the brake arm if necessary**: If the brake arm is obstructing the pin's path, you might need to temporarily remove it. Check for any retaining clips or bolts that are holding the arm in place. Once you remove the arm, set it aside safely. 2. **Align the pin properly**: Position the brake switch carefully, ensuring that the pin's hole lines up with the corresponding hole on the brake pedal assembly. 3. **Start the insertion**: Insert the pin into the hole on the brake switch and partially into the hole on the brake pedal assembly using your fingers. Make sure it's aligned correctly. 4. **Using pliers or a tool**: If the pin is difficult to push in by hand, you can use a pair of pliers or a tool with a flat surface to gently push it the rest of the way into the hole. Be careful not to damage the pin or the surrounding components. 5. **Reattach the brake arm**: Once the pin is securely in place, you can reattach the brake arm to the brake switch. Again, ensure that it is properly aligned and secured with any retaining clips or bolts. 6. **Test the brake switch**: Before finishing up, press the brake pedal a few times to verify that the brake switch is working correctly. The brake lights should come on when you press the pedal and turn off when you release it. 7. **Double-check everything**: Once you've completed the reinstallation, take a moment to double-check that all connections are secure, and there are no loose components. Remember to handle all parts gently to avoid damage, and if you encounter any resistance or feel unsure during the process, don't hesitate to seek assistance from a knowledgeable friend or a mechanic.
