1996 GMC Suburban right wheel and axcel separated from the rest of the axcel. What would it cost to repair or replace that part?

While driving last Friday. Heard a loud pop, which I though was a tire. I attempted to take it back home and heard a squealing and scrubbing noise. When I pulled over the right wheel and part of the axcel had come out. A mechanic friend jacked it up and pushed it back in and recommended getting it towed home. He mentioned a C click possibly broke and there could be some seal and bearing damage, but it would require being taken apart. How much could that cost?
