My 2017 Honda accord went into limp mode and is jumping from second to 4th gear after the repair shop fixed it from a accident the engine and transmission light is on the repairs the shop did where gear assembly control arms rims could they have caused the problem or was it the accident when I drove the vehicle to the shop it wasn’t jerking

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your Accord **wasn’t jerking before the shop worked on it**, there’s a good chance something got missed or damaged during the repair. Since they replaced gear assembly components and control arms, they were deep in the drivetrain—maybe a sensor got unplugged, a mount was left loose, or the transmission took a hit in the accident. The fact that it’s skipping gears and in limp mode suggests a transmission issue, possibly a bad transmission range sensor, valve body problem, or even a wiring issue. Get the trouble codes scanned ASAP—those will point you in the right direction. If the shop’s work caused this, they should make it right.
