Stuck in park

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Make sure you have your foot on the brake pedal. Check to make sure brake lights are lighting up when this happens. Unfortunately, if this does not show you anything, the shift mechanism may need to be replaced. This happens more often than not due to contamination - like something in the console area spilled causing damage to the electronics. I cannot, obviously, say what has happened with your vehicle, but at my Honda dealership, I have seen this more than once.
