What is your question?
I was looking under my mom's car for any issues and I saw there is a little bit of grease in a little spot. She has said there is no strange sounds and so I am just wondering should I be concerned or nah it's fine. There is is no tears and rips in the boot and the rest of the boot is fine. Dry as a whistle. It's a 2016 jeep Patriot. Again no rips or tears and I don't know if the clamp is not on tight on enough or if this is normal.
What makes this problem better or worse?
I don't know if this is acting up when car drives or stops
How long has your 2016 Jeep Patriot had this problem?
It seems like today

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. If you are seeing grease on the outside of a boot, there's got to be some sort of hole or crack, or even a clamp issue, causing this leakage. In the short term, it does not mean that you need to do anything. But I would definitely monitor it, and if the leak becomes worse or a breach of the boot becomes noticeable, you will have to repair then.
