My AC blows cold for a while and suddenly blows the ambient air. After about 5 minutes, it gets cold again...sometimes for a couple of hours and then it gets warm again. KIA checked and said there is no leaking and everything looks good. Any ideas?

2011 KIA Sportage. Happens at various times. Happened twice today after running idle in a parking lot for about 5 minutes. Mostly happens in stop and go traffic, I think, but I don't do highways much.
