M nissan frontier wont start with the mass air flow sensor hooked up but when its unplugged it will start and idle but i have to give it full throttle to keep it running, i got a new mass air flow sensor so what could it be?

It runs rough when it starts but i have to give it full throttle and my rpms dont go up like they should. Will start with maf sensor unplugged but have to give full throttle. New maf sensor.
