The little black noise damping "bumper" on the 2012 Pathfinder rear gate need to be replaced. How to change them out? The part numbers are 90878EA510 for the bottom and 90878EA500 top. These have a pin that is placed in a hole in the gate. Do I use heat, a hack saw to remove these worn pieces. I have placed paper into the hole the bottom rubber bumper sits in. This has successfully quieted the rattle that was driving me nuts. Your suggestions please. Thank you.
