my 2014 Versa engine light is on and the car jerks after I hit the break and attempt to hit the accelerator. Is this a transmission problem. The motor jumps when this happens

What is your question?

I only have 47K miles on this car. I have an extended warrenty AND also would lik to know if this apparent transmission problem is common on all Nissan, Toyota, Honda, and other Japanese cars.

What makes this problem better or worse?

making a full stop, then accelerating.
