Hello, I don't know that you can figure what is common or not. But just focus on what's leaking. Is the cooler leaking? If it is, then indeed it must be replaced. Be sure that it's not just the line or hose. As far as how to take it out, you'll need workshop manual instructions, that can be obtained online though various sources like All Data and Mitchell One - do a web search to obtain access. Or, see a shop near you for help. Hello, "weird noise" is difficult to figure out. It's also hard to know where a noise is originating from without being able to hear it first hand. With that said I would recommend seeing a local repair shop near you and finding a technician who is skilled and capable of determining where the noise is coming from.
