where is the tranny pan located

There is an external ATF filter (very smart design), it looks just like an engine oil filter and it just spins off. You don't need to remove any pans from the transmission. There is an internal screen, but it takes about 14 hours to replace, because you need to remove and disassemble the entire transmission assembly.
