I have a Subaru Forester 2009 which has done 200000 kms and regularly serviced

Recently while driving away from my house I heard a loud clunky noise coming from the rear of the car, this happen 4 to 5 times sounded like a gear box issue. I stopped the car, moved the gear level right and left a few times (auto/manual). I have been driving ever since no noise is evident Not sure what this was. the car is due for service this month Please advise Thanks Kelly
