Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. It sounds to me like the ignition switch is doing its job, as the clicks you are hearing is showing that the signal is being sent to start the vehicle. When you have a click but no crank it usually indicates lower than necessary battery amperage to crank the engine. Reference voltage may be just fine, but amperage may not be enough. This can be due to a weak battery state of charge or could also be due to poor cable connections to the battery and starter motor. If all integrity of cables and connections is good, then it could be that your starter motor requires too much amperage and could be faulty. Hands on testing is needed.
