2012 toyota avalon navigation backlight does not work. Dealer is estimation is very expensive. which is the cheapest way to fix it?

You could get a second opinion from another repair shop near you -- which may also have a reduced labor rate compared to your dealership, but may not. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
the least expensive is pull it off a junkyard car but that is so time consuming and hard to find an exact match ,good luck

Agreed with Crutchfield being second to none in products and service. But if you're seeking original equipment Toyota -- they can't help you. If you want to change your system - that's your go-to. Good luck!
Actually this is problematic for Toyota - had many similar problems at the shop - not necessarily the nav but the audio systems altogether. No they’re not going hot have original equipment but it will be as close as can be purchased..
