What is your question?
I have a Toyota Corolla 2006 For two days now when I press unlock on my car remote my car the lights flash on the headlights but when I open the car door the sign for the doors that are open come on the dashboard but soon as I put the key in and try to start it, it sounds like it’s cranking up but it gives out and doesn’t start then no lights are on the dashboard anymore but I come out n touch the top of the battery it starts. It’s not the starter I have a new starter that’s been replaced few months back and the battery is brand new.
How long has your 2006 Toyota Corolla had this problem?
Few months ago and it stopped now it’s been going on for 2 days

The battery *CABLES* are not making proper contact with the battery terminals - also check ANY other possible cable connections around the battery - some of the positive cables were actually two piece - the clamp that attaches to the battery terminal then the cable connected to the clamp.. Be careful not to short battery terminals to metal surfaces - IF in doubt - seek *hands-on* assistance.
Can this be due too me changing my battery months ago and someone told me to get the clip to hold the battery in place?
I suspect corroded battery cable ends - which need to be thoroughly cleaned .. The original factory battery hold down bracket should be in place. Good luck with it..
