My key fob doesn't work. Replaced battery, nothing. What is wrong?

could be fob not sending a signal.Autozone has remote testers sitting in/on all stores parts counters,when you walk in the door.

Tried that. No signal. WHat is the fix & cost? I am nervous about expense
if the remotes are bad,and that is what you need,then try e-bay.just put in the search box the fcc id number and look for new remotes.read all item descriptions,before purchase,if you are buying.
