On certain passenger vehicles the rear axle pinion seal may be faulty and start to leak. This may cause fluid loss and the rear differential to lock up resulting in a possible accident. Dealer will replace pinion seal free of charge. The GM recall # is 07204

GM will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning February 1,2008. If you have not been contacted, notice a leak by the rear differential and think your car falls under this recall. You should contact your local dealership. It is helpful to have your VIN Vehicle Identification # ready when doing so.

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
