The driver's frontal air bag inflator may deploy the air bag with excessive pressure, resulting in the inflator rupturing and causing metal debris to be sprayed onto vehicle occupants. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recalls on your BMW must be performed by a BMW dealership. BMW will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles in March, 2016, but repair parts will not be immediately available. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local BMW dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
