Electrical & Lights
Brake lights that do not illuminate properly will not alert other drivers that the vehicle is slowing or stopping, increasing the risk of crash.
The brake light switch may become contaminated and malfunction. The brake lights may not light up when stopping, the transmission shift lever will not come out of the "park" position, and the vehicles with keyless starting buttons may not start. Dealers will replace the brake light switch free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recall repairs on your Subaru must be performed by a Subaru dealership. Subaru will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Subaru dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Subaru recall number is WUE-90.
