Worn bearings can cause the turbine wheel to contact the turbocharger housing or cause the shaft to break, causing an engine stall and increasing the risk of a crash.
The turbocharger may become starved of oil lubrication causing internal bearings to become worn. This can cause the turbine wheel of the turbocharger to contact the housing or cause the shaft to leak, causing an engine stall, increasing risk of a crash.
Recall repairs on your Audi must be performed by a Audi dealership. Audi will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in May, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Audi dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
