Drive Train
Wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation can result in a loss of drive power. A disconnected driveshaft can also result in a roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
The rear wheels may lock up and the driveshaft to the rear axle may separate due to a lack of rear axle lubricant being present. This would cause the loss of driving power and allow the vehicle to rollaway even when the vehicle is in "Park" gear if the parking brake is not applied. Both conditions can lead to an accident.
