Door Window Motor

On vehicles equipped with power windows, the door window motor operates the door window regulator, which is what raises and lowers the door window glass.

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing Door Window Motor

  • Window may not go up or down, or may work intermittently
  • Problems with power windows are commonly caused by faults in the switches or wiring. The switches and wiring should be checked thoroughly before replacing a window motor.
  • Depending on the application, the window motor may be serviced separately or as part of the window regulator
